The new monthly clue writing competition will be launched on Saturday 5th December.
You will have 10 days in which to submit your clues (a maximum of two per person being allowed) using the online form.
Whilst there will be glory associated with achieving a podium position, we want this to be an opportunity for those who are new (or relatively new) to clue writing to have a go and to receive constructive criticism. Each month we will comment on several unsuccessful clues (without giving the names of their authors), focusing in particular on why they didn’t achieve high honours. We will also look at the different ways in which the word or phrase was approached, and which treatments were likely to yield the best results.
